Desert Mountain League

Boron, CA - The Desert Mountain League held its League Finals at Boron. The first 1.5 miles of the course was a gradual uphill. There were several areas where the course was very sandy, almost beach like. There is a giant hill at about the mid point. The conditions were calm and hot. History shows that the course tends to run 4:00 to 4:30 minutes slower than Mt. Sac. The Desert Christian Lancaster boys and girls dominated the extremely tough 5K or longer course. However, Matt Picken of Mammoth won the boys race, meaning there was a different winner in each of the three boys races held by the Desert Mountain League.
